MAKING SOFT AND SWEET MARSHMALLOWS AT HOME WITH GREENIFI GELATIN

As Christmas approaches, there’s nothing better than sipping on a cup of hot chocolate topped with fluffy, fragrant marshmallows. Let’s make your own marshmallows at home with Greenifi Gelatin and enjoy them with your loved ones!
Ingredients:
- 15g Greenifi Gelatin
- 60g water (for soaking gelatin)
- 60g corn syrup or honey
- 100g filtered water
- 100-150g sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 20g cornstarch
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Prepare the mold:
- Grease the mold lightly with cooking oil to prevent sticking.
- Sprinkle a thin, even layer of cornstarch into the mold to coat the surface.
Soak the gelatin:
- Add 15g Greenifi Gelatin to a small bowl containing 60g water.
- Stir gently and let the gelatin absorb the water and bloom completely for about 5-10 minutes.
Cook the syrup:
- Combine 60g corn syrup (or honey), 100g filtered water, and 100-150g sugar in a saucepan.
- Stir lightly to mix the ingredients, then place the pan over medium heat.
- Let it simmer without stirring to prevent air bubbles from forming, cooking for about 16 minutes or until the syrup thickens (about 115°C if using a candy thermometer).
Combine gelatin with syrup:
- Remove the pan from heat and immediately add the bloomed gelatin to the hot syrup.
- Stir gently until the gelatin dissolves completely, forming a smooth mixture.
Whip the mixture:
- Pour the gelatin-syrup mixture into a large mixing bowl.
- Using an electric mixer, whip the mixture on high speed for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes fluffy, thick, and creamy.
- Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and continue whipping until the mixture is glossy and starts to feel heavier.
Pour into the mold:
- Transfer the whipped mixture into the prepared mold.
- Smooth the surface with a spatula and sprinkle a layer of cornstarch on top to prevent sticking.
Set the marshmallows:
- Allow the marshmallows to set at room temperature or in the refrigerator for about 6 hours until fully firm.
Finish and cut:
- Once set, remove the marshmallow block from the mold and cut it into small squares.
- Roll each piece lightly in cornstarch to prevent sticking.
The Result:
You’ll have soft, fluffy marshmallows with a light vanilla scent, perfect for enjoying as a treat or gifting this Christmas season!
